In light of Romney’s recent exposure of secret tapes and discord within his campaign, the Romney campaign has announced a three day “Romney Plan for a Stronger Middle Class” Ohio bus tour. The tour will being on Monday, September 24 and make stops in the key cities of Dayton, Lima, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, and Toledo. Mitt Romney will bring along Paul Ryan and try to mitigate his faltering image that has rapidly developed in the past two weeks.
This is not Romney’s first time using a bus tour for exposure. In 2007 he traveled through Iowa’s 99 counties with his five sons in the “Mitt Mobile.” The tour has not revealed a detailed agenda or who will join Romney and Ryan, but this new exposure has many potential advantages. Romney’s theme for this tour, empowering the middle class, can make him more likable and provides much needed face-to-face interaction with voters.
Dear Romney: it’s time to turn on the charm and make these Ohio voters like not only the Mitt Mobile, but also Mitt the Man.
