A little more than a month before election day, some Ohioans have already reached their threshold of tolerance for political advertising and outreach. David Milem stated his frustrations in a Herald-Dispatch article, “I’m tired of the TV ads and the phone calls.” Polls are continuously being conducted for Ohio voters since this is such an important state for both candidates. Many residents are tired of the multiple phone calls asking who they will vote for. As it gets closer to the election, Ohio television will be saturated with more and more political ads, majority of them being negative. It is important to observe the many messages released from each campaign in targeted ads towards Ohio votes, because even if we don’t want to believe some of the narratives or facts from ads, they still linger in our brain.
