Until a week ago, Pennsylvania has been ignored in the Presidential race. Recently, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have made a late advertising and in-person push in the Keystone state. This has been a move that the Romney team has marked as a bonus state to the “Destination 270” map.
Democrats and observers within the state have called this an act of desperation and that it is unlikely to pay off on election day.
Romney campaigned in the suburban Philly area and Ryan in the Harrisburg area, late on Saturday with more an $10 Million in recent advertisement purchases.
With a win by Obama, we can look back toward previous elections. Not a single poll in the state since the start of the election process has shown Romney, yet always closing the cap. The most recent RealClearPolitics average in the state gave Obama a 4.6 Percentage point lead.
